Role: Railway Engineer (Fleet)
Location: Home/Field Based (covering Midlands engineering sites, so easy access to the Midlands is required)
Salary: circa. £70-80,000 + benefits

We’re looking for a talented Railway Engineer to work for our client. For this role, we need an engineer with previous experience in fleet maintenance and overhaul, along with a strong technical and problem-solving background.

The Role:
As the Railway Engineer, you’ll report to the Head of Engineering and will be primarily responsible for:
- Coordinate work activities with clients and oversee subcontractor work
- Overseeing the maintenance and overhaul of railway rolling stock
- Developing and implementing engineering strategies to improve reliability and performance
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing solutions
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and industry regulations
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Railway Engineer role will have:
- Relevant engineering qualifications and experience in the rail sector
- Experience in fleet maintenance and overhaul
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
