Role: Sales & Account Manager (Midlands)

Location: Home based (with travel to clients in the ‘Midlands’ region as required)

Salary Guide: up to £50-65k + FX car + Bonus + Benefits

We’re looking for a talented Sales & Account Manager to work for our client, this role is covering my clients well established Midlands region so someone would likely suit someone living currently in or around the Midlands.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of working with within Industrial, Manufacturing, Construction, Building Materials or Steel/Metals related areas.

The Role:

The Sales & Account Manager role is field-based. Reporting to the National Sales Director and covering the Midlands region, you will be primarily responsible for driving client growth through identification and nurturing of leads as well as overseeing pre-existing account relationships, both areas that is showing and will continue to show continued huge growth.

In the job you’ll be tasked with the following:

  • With support from your head office based sales admin team, preparing formal quotations/offers to be submitted to customers
  • Overseeing activity and coordination between the business and the customer from first contact until contract agreement
  • Monitoring sales targets achievement, proposing the necessary corrective actions in case of deviations

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Sales & Account Manager role will have relevant experience of working with Industrial, Manufacturing, Building Materials, Construction or Steel/Metals related sectors.

You’ll also need experience of:

  • Monitoring customer satisfaction to collect relevant information that allows the implementation of a long-term commercial relationship strategy and promptly acts corrective actions when required
  • Identifying and developing business with existing and new customers
  • Managing contracts with the customer, take care of sharing with the relevant functions and getting the internal approval for changes where appropriate
  • Managing commercial issues during product development up to product start of production, with the support of program management and sales management

In addition, you’ll need the following:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation
  • Strong problem solving skills, able to deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions

You’ll also need to be located in the North or Midlands to be able to travel to your key clients in the region.
