Our client is seeking a Commercial Claims Handler to join their team.
The Role:
As a Commercial Claims Handler, you will play a vital role in liaising with loss adjusters, clients, and the team to ensure claims are processed in a timely manner. You will be responsible for determining the best way to present documents submitted to insurers in support of claims, retrieving and comparing multiple quotes for items, goods, and services, inputting relevant information into claim summaries, and following established processes in the notification and management of claims. A comprehensive approach to diary management and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and professional colleagues are essential for this role.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Empathetic approach in discussions with clients
- Strong understanding of the claims process
- Flexible approach to working and a problem-solving mindset
- Competent in the use of Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel & Word, and familiarity with other products in the MS-Office suite
- Full-time availability preferred, but flexibility with hours for the right candidate
- Driving access and willingness to travel as required
- Working towards or gained CILA Cert & Dip is advantageous
