The Role:

Reporting to the New Business Team Leader and based in the company’s Guildford office, as a Trainee Insurance Broker you will be primarily responsible for supporting the growth of the new business team by helping handle enquiries, selling quotes to new clients and providing an excellent customer journey, building new business databases and undertaking important administrative tasks.

 

In the job you’ll be tasked with the following:

– Providing advice, recommendations and quotes to new clients

– Upselling additional policy features where applicable

– Converting warm leads in an advised sales environment

– Administration, creating quotation documents, setting up client records, issuing documents to clients, checking proposal forms, and diary management

– Liaising with insurers to get the best policy for the client

– Liaising with prospect clients/leads and closing the sale effectively

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Trainee Insurance Broker role will have relevant experience of working in a customer facing environment e.g. Hospitality, retail or professional services.

 

You’ll need the skills to build and maintain relationships whilst working in a fast paced environment.

 

In addition, you’ll need the following:

– Good communication and interpersonal skills

– The ability to work effectively under pressure and hit targets

– Strong negotiation skills

 

The ideal person for the role will be the following:

– Articulate and able to communicate on all levels

– Able to work as part of a successful team

– A real team player, keen to take a key role in a wider dynamic and high performing team

The Package:

Basic salary:  Up to £25,000 per annum
